Creating menus and submenus

Double-click the template “Menu” in the resfile display for Example 1.3

	This opens a display representing the menu. The Menu editor (which is a menu) is popped up by clicking the middle mouse-button over this display.

Adding new menu entries

Popup the Menu Editor
Select Menu entries ... to open the entry-prototype window
Add three new submenu entries by dragging entry prototype to menu

Alternatively you can add new menu entries by selecting an existing entry and dragging downwards while holding the shift key.

Edit the menu so that it has the form:

Editing the main menu Double-click the title-bar (in the menu display) to open the main properties dbox. You can change the menu's title here.

Double-click a menu entry (in the menu display) to open its edit dbox. Select the Text option and type the entry's text into the writable icon. (This is the text which will appear when the menu is viewed). Select the “Has submenu” option.
Submenu action
Select the “Show object” option and type (or drag) the name of the object to be shown. In this example it is an object named ColourDbox.
In the above manner attach a ColourDbox, ColourMenu and FontMenu to the sub menu entries.
